Finally, a post about things I love from the drugstore! While I prefer some branded products over drugstore ones, here are some products from the drugstore that are not only cheap but also amazing!

An Everyday Business

Although I like to change up my makeup every few days, this post will feature products I reach for when I’m short of time but also in need of a fix!

The base – Start off your look with a primer, such as the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. A primer is a must if you want your makeup to last the whole day! Follow up with a light foundation like Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder Foundation, this foundation is fantastic at brighting up your skin and keeping it looking rejuvenated the whole day. Unlike other foundations I’ve found that this one looks best when applied with your hands (for extra coverage stipple on a bit more foundation in the areas needed at the end). Alternatively, mix any foundation you have with a day cream for a more natural, lighter look. Now my most favooooooorite concealer is the NARS Creamy Concealer, it will cover anything and everything without caking up the slightest bit and is also excellent for usage under the eyes. This is my fourth purchase of it, so I guess you can say that I literally cannot live without it.

Genie in a bottle

If you’re wishing for: 1. Smooth skin 2. Blackheads to be gone 3. Spots no more Look no further! GLAMGLOW Supermud Tingle Exfoliate Treatment is THE face pack for everyone (which is why I have my backup ready). It will fulfil all of your three wishes by tightening, brightening and controlling blemishes on your skin. It is quite expensive for the amount of product given but you really need a teeny tiny amount for your entire face. I’d recommend you use it at night as immediate results may not be visible but when you wakeup the next morning your spots will be much, much calmer. I used to get consistent acne on my forehead and cheeks but after using this consistently for 3 weeks my skin looks soooooo much better (and this time I’m not the only one to notice it😀). Foundation junkie

It bugs me that so many people forget how important it is to have a perfect base. A perfect foundation is a must. In my case one is not enough, thus the title “junkie.” If I was allowed to only invest into one expensive, branded makeup item it would have to be a foundation. Some high street foundations such as L’oreal’s true match foundation are a bargain, BUT they simply don’t do enough. Higher end foundations usually last much, much longer (even without a primer) and the finish is much more flawless. Some of my favourites are Continue reading
